CEHG Director Marcus Feldman Awarded the 2017 Allan V. Cox Medal for Faculty Excellence in Fostering Undergraduate Research
EHG hopes you will join us in congratulating our esteemed Co-Founding Director, Dr. Marcus Feldman, who has been chosen as recipient of the 2017 Allan V. Cox Medal for Faculty Excellence in Fostering Undergraduate Research, awarded by the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education.
The Cox Medal is awarded annually to one Stanford faculty member who has established a record of excellence directing undergraduate research over a number of years. The review committee was most impressed by Dr. Feldman's nomination letters, as colleagues and students alike testified to his commitment to developing students into independent researchers. Students spoke most highly of his customized mentorship, the career-launching intellectual experiences in his lab, and the many ways he has inspired them to be scientists.
The engraved medal will be presented to Dr. Feldman during Commencement Weekend.
